CorSport: Ibrahimovic intends to renew and continue playing for Milan

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic intends to renew his deal with the club and continue playing for a few more seasons having made his return from injury, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), the Swedish striker has been given confidence by the fact that he made his first appearance of the season off the bench against Atalanta last weekend.

He is convinced that he can play for a few more seasons following his knee surgery and would like to do that with Milan. He is out of contract at the end of this season which means that he will have to convince his club to renew his deal.

He is expected to meet with Paolo Maldini soon to discuss the deal but it will likely hinge on whether he remains un-injured during the rest of the current campaign, considering he is 41 years old.

  1. Over these last 3 years, when healthy, even at advanced age for a footballer, he is our leader, best and most important player.
His goal contributions for the minutes he has played is crazy good.
Saying all that, we need to sign a starting striker born in this century. Giroud and Ibra need to be the rotation players.
Sign Scamacca andet Zlatan teach him how to play like him

  2. tell him to decrease salary a bit more then surely Ibra and Milan can work for another year. His ability is still superior to many new strikers.

    1. I mean, He makes 1 million a year. How much more do you want him to decrease his salary?
He probably is still bringing Milan the most money of jersey sales on the team, and he is still the biggest attraction that makes casual football fans to turn on the TV or check on Milan games.

    1. Yeah… but since he killed a lion in South Africa, I knew he was more than a lion.

But I didn’t know, he had once told a reporter that is God.
      Reporter: “Who’ll win the qualifier?”
      Ibrahimović: “Only God knows”
Reporter: “It’s kinda hard to ask him”
Ibra: “You’re talking to him now”

  3. please never mention jersey sales again. Clubs dont sell jerseys, the sponsor makes them and sells them in Milan case Puma..
