AC Milan are working behind the scenes to try and sign Domenico Berardi from Sassuolo, according to a report.
It is now no secret that the Rossoneri are in the market for a new winger, one with different characteristics to Alexis Saelemaekers in the sense that they are more of a direct goal threat. After a season with 17 goals and 8 assists for Sassuolo, there is arguably no better target than Berardi.
According to the latest from il Giorno (via MilanNews), Milan have pretty much secured one of their targets for the attack as Brahim Diaz is set to arrive on loan with an option to buy for €25m. For Sandro Tonali the final details and the official announcement are all that is missing.
However, the Rossoneri management are ‘moving with the lights off’ to try and sign Berardi, who is a player that head coach Stefano Pioli has put forward as an ideal reinforcement. More details will be known in the coming weeks.

Domenico Berardi is a waste of money because he is like Castejeho does not fit into the game of Milan. Milan should bring Jonathan Icons from Lille, a player who will bring real pressure from the side on every defense.

Please don’t compare Berardi with Castellejo. Berardi is better anyday. Can take on his opponents and enjoys moving the ball into opponent’s box. I say YES
Are we ready to make an investment?? We are currently looking for ‘loan with an option to buy’ players. Berardi is an expensive operation and for sure this is not going to happen. We are still not willing to invest in our striker position… waiting for Giroud’s signature.
