The next few days should be decisive in determining whether or not Rasmus Hojlund joins AC Milan, according to reports.
Speaking before the game against Bari at San Siro on Sunday night, Igli Tare confirmed that Hojlund is an option which is being considered. However, he is not the only one, implying that something needs to shake loose otherwise alternatives will be studied.

Decisive days await
Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) confirm that Hojlund is the favorite to wear the No.9 shirt for Milan in the 2025-26 season. Manchester United left him out of the squad for the first Premier League match, which was ‘a real slap in the face’ for the Dane.
Negotiations between Manchester United and Milan for Hojlund’s transfer to the Rossoneri this summer can now accelerate. The English club have expressed a willingness to sell the Scandinavian player on a loan deal (€5m).

However, there is disagreement over the terms of the buy-out: Milan would like a €35m option to buy, while United want a €45m obligation. The player himself also wants guarantees that the move can become permanent, if he is to leave Old Trafford.
Hojlund would like Milan or another club (Newcastle are being talked about, should Alexander Isak go to Liverpool) to commit to buying him at the end of the season. He doesn’t want to experience a year in limbo, and so could ask his current club to lower their demands.

I guess we’re just matching quality of the current striker instead of upgrade after all
Competition I guess, both strikers at 35 million
We’re after advantageous deals, not upgrades …
This deal makes zero sense on every level
We need 2 out of 3 from Dusan, Mois Keane amd Lokman all basically same price if not cheaper then Rasmus and better or so how does Rasmus make any semse
NEMA JAMSTAVA !!! ON TREBA IGRAT I DOKAZAT SE !!! TO MU JE JAMSTVO a mi plačamo 5 mil eura !!
Not that I’m a fan of the Dane, but I guess I just don’t understand what his agent is advising him. He isn’t even being called up to games with Sesko having to come in pretty much to replace him. But he wants to stay and prove what exactly?
You won’t see any minutes any more, take whatever deal you can and move to a different club, start playing, make yourself an appealing option then move elsewhere if you have to. You aren’t getting any younger.
We need more than one center forward after Gimenez. If people are complaining about that I don’t know what else say.
And what player do you want us to sign that would be an “upgrade”? Hojlund does upgrade our attack by providing competition and more depth.
And let me just add, I’d rather Boniface or someone else, but an option is an upgrade. Is Hojlund better than Gimenez? I don’t know. If we sign him, he’ll have my full support. He knows the league.
Agree on thing about Højlund support. That we need more than one I do not fully agree. Well if Okafor is sold yeah okay maybe. Or a winger that can play kinda striker, like okafor. But Diego Sia could be 3rd striker I guess. Also Leao can do. Depends on a lot I think. Time will tell. Maybe we buy some young kid to be 3rd striker.
Santi is slow and more of a poacher.
The Dane is a machine who isn’t clinical enough to poach yet.
So I agree with you completely. This is an upgrade b/c it provides us options.
That both are young and have room to grow means we start in a good spot and can end up in a great one.
