AC Milan have had a moment of relief today, with the findings from Davide Bartesaghi’s tests looking positive. However, there will need to be more answers.
Against Cremonese, Bartesaghi succumbed to an injury at the late stages of the game, without receiving any contact. These injuries are always ones to fear, just because of the risk of a muscle injury.

Indeed, it seemed that way, too, with the Italian, clutching his leg and wearing a brace, or something of that ilk, after the game. So, tests were needed to see the extent of any injury. Now, those results have been reported.
Bartesaghi update
As MilanNews writes, there is no need to worry massively, as a longer-term injury has been ruled out. After an instrumental examination this morning, the findings showed nothing to be concerned about. However, he is not a certainty for the weekend.
Of course, Massimiliano Allegri will now be faced with a big decision, and it will depend on the training sessions this week. Given the derby is scheduled for Sunday, it is only a good thing that the team will have several days to train. Imaginably, if the Italian is present with the group at any point, he will be a starter once again.
Barthesaghi in the derby provides more confidence but his inability to defend against players behind him continues to be a problem.
Also the fact that he’s been responsible for at least 3 set piece goals (Como, Fiorentina and Parma), whilst Inter have scored 15 goals from Corners this season already.
Might need a re-think, especially if he’s not fit.
The kid is still learning. What amazes me is that some people actually consider him a center back! He’s not even originally a defender, having originally played as a winger when he was younger.
True but the problem is that his backup, Estupiñán, is even worse.
