Inter defender likely to miss out on Milan games after dislocating shoulder

AC Milan will face Inter in the first leg of the Champions League final in just over one week. While the Nerazzurri managed to beat Lazio earlier today, they were also dealt an injury blow.

Robin Gosense came off the bench for Inter earlier today and sealed the comeback, scoring the 2-1 goal with an acrobatic finish. However, he had a nasty fall and was forced to leave the pitch in pain.

Speaking to Sky Italia, as cited by SempreInter.com, Inter manager Simone Inzaghi was asked about the condition of Gosense and confirmed that he dislocated his shoulder. An injury that could take some time to recover from.

“He dislocated his shoulder, let’s hope we don’t lose him because he’s very important to us and he’s been doing very well ever since January, alternating with Dimarco.”

The recovery times will be known in the coming days, but it’s unlikely that he will make it back for the games against Milan, at least not the first leg. Inter will be hoping for a swift recovery given the tight schedule.

    1. Of course there is an effect. Inter has a much better squad than Milan, so any absence they have, especially in defense, helps our chances, even if it’s Gosens.
