Inter fans have officially been banned from away matches until March 23, and yet an exception will be made for the derby.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport report, this is the decision taken by Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi following the firecracker thrown from the Nerazzurri fans’ section in Cremona last Sunday, which struck home goalkeeper Emil Audero.

The statement reads: “Following the serious unrest. the Minister of the Interior has ordered a travel ban for Inter fans until March 23, 2026, as well as a ban on the sale of tickets for the same matches to residents of Lombardy.”
The measure, the Ministry of the Interior informs, is aimed at ensuring public order and safety and preventing the recurrence of incidents that could compromise the smooth running of sporting events.
The Milan-Inter match on March 8 is excluded from the measures, given that there will be no fan movement. The away matches banned will therefore be the one in Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo next Sunday, as well as those in Lecce and Florence (versus Fiorentina).
Exempting the derby from the supporter ban seems like double standards, given that it was not issues outside the stadium while travelling that caused the issue vs. Cremonese, but the behaviour of a certain fan inside the ground.
What can I say what an absolute freaking disgrace. You can’t ban them and then make an exempt when they play against us as the match still counts as an away match for Inter. If the management doesn’t step up and make an official complaint then they can go and blow an exhaust pipe for what I care.
That’s because technically for that game they aren’t “traveling” away. On the flip side, would you want a Derby without both sets of supporters?
Doesn’t really matter as it pretty much distorts the rules in their favor. Hell yes as I would instead just fill it up with only AC Milan fans then. Inter can suck it.

I think it was Z who corrected me the other day as I didn’t remember that the match had been stopped 15 minutes before the match ended so I suppose that they were deemed losers with 3-0 but you can try and ask him as I don’t recall it. I do know though that when Denmark was playing against Sweden some years ago and we had been behind 0-3 and leveled to 3-3 and then the Swedes got a penalty kick a drunk Danish fan ran into the pitch and tried to smack the ref in the face we were deemed losers 0-3 and believe we got a hefty fine on top of it. The Dane who did it became known as the “football madman” and ended up migrating to Sweden due to him being very unpopular 😀
I know Juve are a bunch of cheats and have wide support across Italia but I’ve always felt like Inter have more influence and use their influence to greatest effect more than any other club. It’s definitely gotten worse since the cheater Marotta joined and now they seem to shamelessly press their influence over these little details. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Australia debacle was a ploy to put to top 4 challengers in a difficult spot.

This is normal. If they were banned from attending the derby then that would be abnormal. If you know you know.
The fan should be criminally prosecuted and banned from games for life. Punishing all Inter fans for the behavior of one seems excessively. I know this will be an unpopular post.
I guess the government ministry might have an issue enforcing the ban for this game since they can’t block sale to away fans in Lombardy when the match is already in Lombardy.
Was there a risk that their way of applying the ban could have just as easily effected AC Milan fans trying to buy tickets from the same region.
Could be less conspiracy and more limits of bureaucracy.
That’s a reasonable point but that issue could probably be fairly easily solved almost to perfection by only allowing people who has been members of AC Milan for years to avoid new members (potential Inter fans) from entering stadium via AC Milan tickets.
The Cremonese game should have been stopped and a 3:0 result awarded to the home team.
I can’t see us getting close enough for this to cost the scudetto though.
we defineitly can get close to inter . if they can qualify to next games in champions elague and coppa itlai theyre schedule will be so packed that their priorities will shift from serie in that given quarter final of cl or semi final of coppa.+when inter face us even if we dont win , they have 5 hard games back to back to back
