Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani has admitted that there is quality in the AC Milan team right now but he is confident that the Nerazzurri can win the Derby della Madonnina on Saturday.
Speaking during an interview with Klan TV (via Pianeta Milan), the Albanian midfielder spoke confidently coming into what is the biggest game of the season so far for both teams.
Only Inter and Milan have got a 100% record in Serie A after three games so any winner will end Matchday 4 at the top of the table.
Asllani is clearly looking forward to the game and respects Milan, but has faith in his own team to get the three points.
“Derby on Saturday? Milan is a team of great quality, it will be a beautiful match. We are strong, I am confident. I know we will do well and give our all to win,” Asllani said.
Asllani is hoping for more minutes in the Inter midfield this season after spending much of his first season at the club on the bench.
With the early form of the likes of Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, he may struggle to break into the starting eleven much.
Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan
vs
Ruben Loftus-Cheeks, Rade Krunic, and Tijjani Teijnders
– Hakan Calhanoglu vs Ruben Loftus-Cheeks : RLC is stronger and dribble better than Calhanoglu who confident at his shooting. And Calhanoglu is better as AMC, not deeper role. He never really reach his best like at ACM as a MC. 0-1 for ACM.
– Nicolo Barella vs Rade Krunic : same pos as the central of 3 mids, but in differ style. Barella is gutsy & Krunic is smarter to make team play fluidly. But in term defending the mid, Barella will win. 1-1.
– Henrikh Mkhitaryan vs Tijjani Reijnders : Same pos as most advanced from 3 mids and actively making late run in to the box. But Reijnders have so much more technique, all physical attributes & can play vertically from deep better. So easy point for ACM : 1-2.
Hakan plays in Krunic role.
Mikhitaryan plays in Reijnders role.
Barella plays in RLC role.
When have you seen Barella as the central of the 3 mids? He plays as a right side mezzala.
Hakan is the regista not Barella
In the last 4 derbies inter managed to cause a lot of mess in the midfield area. I just wanna say don’t be over confident, they also got frattesi and klasseen as secret weapons
Perfectly fine with the underdog status here. More pressure on inter to win.
