CM: Inter set to beat Milan to signing of Empoli midfielder after agreeing €14m deal

AC Milan have missed out on the chance to sign Kristjan Asllani from Empoli as rivals Inter appear to have won the race to land the midfielder.

According to Calciomercato.com, Inter are looking to the future in a bid to restock their midfield and Beppe Marotta seems to have got his hands on one of the most talented young registas in the league, with Asllani of Empoli very close to moving to the Nerazzurri.

Today will be a decisive day for Asllani’s future as in the next few hours Inter will meet Empoli to define the operation on the basis of a transfer fee of €14m plus various bonuses.

Personal terms should not be a problem as a rough agreement was found between the entourage of the Albanian and the Inter management, who must now define the last details with the Tuscan club. Marotta and Ausilio have got their deputy to Brozovic, as Milan’s interest never became a concrete advance it seems.
