Inter are set to rival AC Milan for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Pianeta Milan), the Nerazzurri are going to try and bolster their defensive depth by moving for a Rossoneri target.
Milan are not in a position to pay big transfer fees for anyone right now and that is why they are looking at dry loan deals or with an option to buy for both Tanganga as well as another Tottenham player, Pape Matar Sarr.
Spurs are very keen to monetise the departure of Tanganga though which is a sticking point in the negotiations. They would want there to be an obligation to buy the defender at the end of the loan.
Inter are interested in the player and Roma have also been linked with him. It was Jose Mourinho who gave Tanganga his first Premier League minutes.
