AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is indeed using a new 4-4-1-1 formation for Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina against Inter.
Milan will be looking to continue their positive momentum so far in 2020, but will do so when they face their toughest opponent thus far this year in Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina.
The Rossoneri will be looking to secure their first league win over Inter in four years and put a huge dent in the Scudetto hopes of their neighbours, who have struggled for form since the turn of the year.
Pioli has – according to widespread reports – named a 4-4-1-1 formation for the game with the hopes of packing out the midfield when not in possession.
Gianluigi Donnarumma has a back four of Conti, Kjaer, Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez in front of him, while Samu Castillejo and Ante Rebic are on the right and left wings respectively.
Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer are the midfield pairing with Calhanoglu just slightly in front supporting Zlatan Ibrahimovic up front.
