Inter boss Simone Inzaghi was not in the mood to see any more of last night’s game against AC Milan when the clock approached 90 minutes.
Milan put in their best performance of the season to beat their city rivals 3-0 thanks to goals from Luka Jovic (x2) and Tijjani Reijnders. That secured a 4-1 aggregate victory, and now a final in Rome – most likely against Bologna – awaits in 20 days.
For Inter, it meant their dreams of a treble came crashing down to earth. While Inzaghi was very complimentary of Milan after the game, he was seemingly just as angry about what he saw from his team.
The Nerazzurri coach even shouted at the referee and the fourth official to not give any added time after minute 90. A clip showed him bellowing: “I don’t want added time! You won’t take the p*** out of me.”
He got his wish, because the referee Daniele Doveri did indeed blow the final whistle a few seconds after the allotted time was up.
Inzaghi andrebbe squalificato e l’arbitro con il quarto uomo sospesi, perché se qualcuno avesse scommesso il 4-0 gli hanno tolto la possibilità di vincere.

Played football my entire life. That’s not how it works lol. But hey it’s inter
That explains why AC Milan didn’t win 5-0
It happened many times before. Playing football in your park with your friends doesn’t count! If you played professionally you’d know that
throwing in the towel!
Another word for this: “Surrender”
We beat them too many times this year, Inzaghi ran up the white flag.
