The AC Milan leadership are beginning to grow ‘irritated’ by the fact Theo Hernandez continues to reject Al-Hilal, a report claims.
Theo has just over 12 months left on his deal and earlier in the week it was reported that Milan and Al-Hilal had agreed a deal worth around €35m, bonuses included. Theo rejected the move though, hoping to get a top European club, with Atletico Madrid then entering the scene.

A ‘tug of war’ develops
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports this morning that even though Milan and Al-Hilal have already reached an agreement over a transfer fee, the negotiations for the sale of Theo to Saudi Arabia are not moving forward.
Instead, the full-back continues to put up a wall and say no to the idea of moving to Saudi Arabia. His refusal obviously risks ruining a €30m deal and for this reason, ‘irritation is growing’ at Casa Milan towards the Frenchman.
Theo would prefer to stay and play in Europe, meaning that a ‘tug of war’ is looming between Milan and the former Real Madrid man. He actually leaked his desire to stay in Milan until the natural expiry of his contract (June 2026) so he can leave on a free transfer.
This is a situation that the Rossoneri absolutely want to avoid because it would mean they get nothing from his exit to reinvest in the position. The coming days could bring developments, but things are tense at present it seems.
Let him stay, stop getting frustrated by the results of your own mistakes and mismanagement, this is not a way to treat your players

I hope he stays, has the season of a lifetime and leaves to another club for nothing. He has been short changed for the entire time he was here and the management has done nothing to reinforce the team. They deserve no help, not from Mike, not Theo. Théo also needs to understand that no club in Europe will pay him more than what he currently earns (not even sure he’ll get his current salary) and accept even a midtable club.
Give Theo and Mike what they want as salary and then try to sell them after signing a new contract. Not we always sell top players for peanuts or leave on a free transfer.

Milan signed a contract to pay the player until a certain date (he signed a lesser deal, could have gotten double at that point), and maybe now he wants to stay until the end of the contract. Not true. Ballo Toure was signed as his backup but nobody trusted him. If Theo was out we had Dalot, Florenzi and even Calabria cover LB? Correct? Milan management treats Milan players bad so they end up with situations like this. Only leverage they have in Theo situation is that he needs to play if he wants to go to the World Cup next year and Milan management might decide to keep him and bench him all season – that would not be good for the player. Same with Maignan, similar situation. Either way, Milan management deserves what they are getting – they are the worst I’ve seen in Milan history!
