Italian journalist claims no buyers are interested in Milan; discusses Rangnick rumours

Elliott Management are ready to give it another go after two seasons of disappointment as the owners of AC Milan. In fact, the rumours of a potential sale have faded completely, with the hedge fund seemingly keen on staying.

In an interview with Radio Sportiva (via MilanNews.it), the editor-in-chief of Calciomercato.com – Stefano Agresti, spoke about the Rossoneri’s corporate situation. Furthermore, he addressed the rumours linking them with Ralf Rangnick.

“Milan? The balance is negative and there are no buyers on the horizon. At the moment, everything is blocked. The hypothesis of a sale seems very difficult.

“An important decision will concern the manager and the Rangnick hypothesis is the most concrete one,” he stated.

Elliott’s plan, therefore, is getting clearer by the day. This morning, Gazzetta Dello Sport reported that four players will be the basis of their summer revolution: Romagnoli, Hernandez, Bennacer and Leao. All four, of course, are very important for the team.

As the squad is already quite young, it remains to be seen how the Rossoneri will cope under pressure next season, provided that the revolution goes ahead. With Ralf Rangnick at the helm, though, this shouldn’t be an issue.
