As expected, this morning’s Italian papers are dominated by tonight’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg between Inter and AC Milan.

La Gazzetta dello Sport‘s striking front cover reads: “The derby grows wings. Inter vs. Milan for a place in the Coppa Italia final and for… the Scudetto. Perisic and Leao the keys to a high-intensity game. Inzaghi: ‘It’s time we beat them’. Pioli: ‘The league is totally different’.”

They also talk about Milan’s potential takeover: “Technology, real estate, luxury brands: Investcorp worth €40bn and are targeting Italy. Inside the group that want Milan – closure in two weeks and Gazidis could depart.”

Il Corriere dello Sport: “Milan, the derby worth a billion. Coppa Italia semi-final while negotiations with Arabian fund take off. A tweet from the Bahrain embassy confirms the operation: due diligence in advanced stages, sale to Investcorp is close.San Siro record 75,000 spectators: final up for grabs with Inter.”

Finally, Tuttosport: “Total derby, the first sentence. Tonight Inter vs. Milan – a place in the final up for grabs after the 0-0 first leg. It is the super first course for the Scudetto feast. Decisive times too for the sale of the Rossoneri to Investcorp.”
