Vincenzo Italiano met with the Bologna management to discuss his future but an agreement is not yet in place, amid interest from AC Milan.
Since the Coppa Italia final that saw him emerge victorious and win Bologna’s first trophy in over 50 years, numerous sources have claimed that Italiano has been put under the magnifying glass of Milan as they look for Sergio Conceicao’s replacement.
Earlier this week there were reports speaking of a meeting between the Bologna boss and his superiors to outline the plans for the future. While the discussions are believed to have gone well, there has been nothing to suggest a renewal is imminent.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress) this morning, the agents of the Rossoblu coach have reportedly let the club know that Milan have not put forward any proposal and that he is only thinking about renewing with them.
The figures are unknown , but what has been proposed at the moment is not enough. According to the newspaper, the negotiations will continue indefinitely and could last from 7 to 10 days, without any certainty of a handshake.
In the meantime, Milan are waiting and trying to understand how feasible the deal could be. It seems though that they will hang on for Italiano’s decision rather than trying to force things, though Igli Tare’s imminent arrival might see an acceleration.
Fck why is the press or so mani milanista excited here? This is like the fos3ca of the Italians… would be terrible mitake
