Jacobone: Tottenham put €40m on the table in attempt to sign Milan star for free

Franck Kessie’s contract with AC Milan will expire next summer and the Rossoneri are thus working on a renewal, which has proved to be a bit difficult. There is still distance between the parties, with contacts ongoing.

Meanwhile, as reported by Alessandro Jacobone, the agent of Kessie (George Atangana) has also been in contact with other clubs. Tottenham are one of them as they have put an offer of €8m per year for five years on the table.

They have also included a hefty commission for the agent in question, which could favour them in the long run. As stated by the journalist, though, Milan are still ahead in the race as they are the player’s preferred choice.

Fabio Paratici, former Juventus sporting director and now at Spurs, is determined to sign Kessie on a free and Milan fans are right to be worried. Weeks after what seemed to be reassuring words at the Olympics, the midfielder is yet to renew.
