Jacobs: West Ham interest ‘genuine’ as Milan await potential Tomori offer

West Ham are keeping tabs on the situation of Fikayo Tomori, according to a report, and could perhaps decide to submit an official offer to AC Milan. The Englishman, however, is an important player for the Rossoneri.

Arriving on an initial loan deal from Chelsea in 2021, Tomori has since become a key player for Milan and although he struggled last season, he remains an important player. Indeed, the Rossoneri see him as an undisputed starter for the upcoming season.

According to the reliable journalist Ben Jacobs, following whispers in England, West Ham are indeed keeping tabs on the centre-back as their interest is ‘genuine’. There are no negotiations for now, though, and it remains to be seen if the Hammers will proceed.

Malick Thiaw, another Milan centre-back, has also been linked with a Premier League move as Newcastle are interested. However, the German has a more feasible price tag than Tomori, who is valued at €40-50m by the Rossoneri.

For now, therefore, the feeling is absolutely that Tomori will remain at Milan beyond this summer, even if an offer from West Ham cannot be ruled out. While on the subject of centre-backs, the Rossoneri are closing in on the signing of Strahinja Pavlovic.
