HLN: Jashari has agreement with Brugge over exit but record bid is needed – the situation

Ardon Jashari has an agreement in place with Club Brugge that could facilitate his exit, but AC Milan must raise their bid.

As we wrote about at length recently, the Jashari saga has descended into a farcical soap opera. Neither club wants to back down while the midfielder is caught in the middle of a tug of war, all while the dust settles after a media skirmish and he is still not training.

Record bid needed

According to HLN, it was known the negotiations between Milan and Club Brugge to bring Jashari to Italy would not be short and easy, but things are taking a bit too long with neither side moving an inch.

The Belgian club are denying Jashari’s sale at the moment because they believe the offer of €32.5m plus bonuses is still not enough. They want €40m, which means a higher base and bonus package from the Rossoneri.

The midfielder has thus begun to force the issue a bit, training alone and even skipping the traditional squad photo. He wants to pressure his club into accepting Milan’s offer, but Brugge will not be so easily blackmailed.

However, according to the source, Jashari has apparently reached an agreement with his contract holders: if a record offer materialises, he will be allowed to go. In other words, it would have to be around the €40m that the Belgian side want.

  1. “if a record offer materialises, he will be allowed to go.”

Isn’t it already a record offer at 37.5m?

  2. Regardless of what we may think of Jashari’s valuation, Milan are acting like beggars here. The only difference is that we actually have the money.

So stop wasting everyone’s time including your own, because if Jashari does by some miracle end up coming, he will have lost time training with his team mates.

Unless this deal is being held up by the acquisition of Stankovic from Inter, up the offer 35+5mil. Don’t be dense. Swallow your pride and move on.

    #Thuram 2.0 #Fofana2.0

    1. #Thuram 2.0???
Thuram was a free agent who got to choose where to go and he made his decision early in the market to a team that offered him the highest salary and highest bonus for his agents.
How is this in any way the same?

      1. Because they haggled and haggled and (if reports are to be believed) refused to up the offer by half a mil to his entourage to then have lost him.

        1. Fabrizio Romano @FabrizioRomano

Inter have reached full verbal agreement to sign Marcus Thuram, here we go! Deal in place for salary around €6/6.5m net per season plus signing fee.
Inter are working to get contracts now prepared and then signed during the weekend. PSG, Leipzig, Milan rejected.

[Giovanni Capuanol The commision paid by Inter to sign Marcus Thuram was 8 mil, this is mentioned in the financial statements approved today.

There is zero chance Milan came anywhere near matching those numbers, salary or commission, for you to think that they haggled and haggled over a half a million.

23 June 2023 via One Football:

“MilanNews have stated that Milan’s offer for Thuram is at €6 million per season and that is half a million more than Inter’s offer, with the Nerazzurri offering €5.5 million per season. Both sides are now awaiting an answer from the player, with Fabrizio Biasin stating that Inter are trying their best to convince the ex-Borussia Monchengladbach man.”

This was prior to Inter upping their offer to 6.5 and getting their man, who then whipped us in the derby. That’s where the difference of 0.5m comes from….and this after we courted him publicly for a long time.

          2. They will have to pay commission regardless its free or with sale. Probably few millions less, but still. Not paying transfer fee is a huge benefit on the books and to have that caliber of player with only 8 million to pay is cheap for a club like Milan.
Milan has struggled for years for that position and they just let the opportunity to fix that just went up the air like that.

        2. Typically I would agree with you ACM1899 But in this case. I have to stand with management. Because he had 1 good season with them. He wants to come, it’s not like all the elite teams in Europe are calling. I would throw some resell percentages. Because at 40 million it’s a big risk coming to a different league with a huge price tag, he’ll be under a lot of pressure to perform. He’s not a proven player yet, we’re only talking about potential here.

  3. It’s so frustrating. We are a month out from the start of the season and we aren’t close to even having the right personnel let alone, time to train and learn. No fullbacks, only one striker (unless they’re going to panic and keep Columbo?) and an incomplete midfield. We’ve lost all momentum from not being in the club World Cup. We sold two of our best players and for some reason we’re struggling to add another 5 mil to a deal for a player that we see as crucial? It’s a joke, I can’t imagine what Tare and Allegri are thinking right now. I don’t think Conte would have lasted more than a month with Milan with the way they conduct business. If he were there now, he’d probably already be half out the door. We’ve sold like 6 players so far this window and purchased one (Modric’s doesn’t count). and both Ricci and Modric had pre-agreements well before hand. This is an absolute joke and Allegri will be forced to “build the plane while it’s flying” just like Fonseca had to do. I don’t care that they’ll only have one game a week, each game matters and if we drop points early because we’re unprepared, it will not bode well for the rest of the season.

    1. Brugge is wild. The league’s top scorer is available for ~25m and you’re asking over 50% more for this guy? At this point I’d rather move for Guerra at 25m and use the savings for the fullbacks and striker position.

      1. Why should the topscorer be valued higher than the MVP of the season? If you would’ve seen both play, you will probably understand. Also, Bruges is the new Ajax, only a matter of time they will ask more for their players.

  4. It’s my opinion and I may be wrong but I think people are over exaggerating a little. Last year, our biggest problem wasn’t the players quality. It was tactics and attitude. On paper, we had a team that could easily finish top 3.

We play in one competition this season and right now the most important signings is a rb and lb. The midfield with jashari is strong but even without adding Ricci and modric is strong too. I’m all for keeping gimenez as our starting st and in time getting someone. Whether it’s a a big purchase or a backup but tbh I’d rather have a back up for now and give gimenez his shot and next year after getting into Europe again(hopefully) go all out for a top striker.

    1. Agreed. I kind of want to see what Musah under Allegri is like vs under Fonseca and Conceicao, for example.

      1. Ya with him you can tell the potential is there, need a coach to unlock it. If RLC stays healthy he’s finally playing in his favored position and saelemaekers comes back and adds versatility. Put some trust in these guys because eim tired of being linked to 3 new players every day even though its all media propaganda. Get a rb and lb as priority and if an opportunity comes along

      2. last training video was more of a Musah highlight reel…he makes RLC look like hes moving in quick sand

    2. Last season we had better player than now. We just lost two of our best players without getting a replacement at this point, and we have big holes in the AM, both sides at fullbacks, and only one striker.
Finishing 8th means you got to prepare better, not worse.

  5. What a BS article. What sort of agreement does Jashari have with Brugge? That if any team pays what Brugge wants then Brugge will take the money and let the player go? That is how the footbal world works

  6. Serious question…Do we need another midfielder? We lost Reijnders, but brought in Ricci and Modric. I assume we will lose Musah who by the end wasn’t playing, but it seems clear RLC is going to play more. So for a 3 man midfield rotation Milan have Modric, Ricci, Fofana, RLC, possible Pulisic as an AM…and worst case you keep Musah, or Adli. Why not pocket that 32MM and add it to the 35MM set aside for fullbacks and go get two studs?

    1. I agree. Go for Udogie or Tavares. Lazio need to sell before they can buy…Tare may knkw some people there.

    2. I agree. Go for Udogie or Tavares. Lazio need to sell before they can buy…Tare may know some people there.

      1. You like Epstein? You have strange attraction to cartoon people? You loved winter transfers that was a fail. Cosplay Gerry at San Siro this season.

  7. HAGGLE HAGGLE HAGGLE lol

Same as what happens w CDK and in the end we paid what Brugge wanted – BUT – CDK lost valuable time to integrate into the team, culture, city, language etc….when will we ever learn. Serious clubs that want to WIN TITLES don’t waste time over a few million. Oh man I forgot – we are NOT a serious club!!! Ha!!

Begs the question: Is this guy even worth 40m???? Not sure. We have Ricci Modric and Fofana as starters as of now. Bondo and RLC backups. Don’t count Musah who should be sold. Still have Benny and Adli in case. But IF we THINK he is WORTH it then we would pay the extra 2M immediately – if he’s not, them move on to other targets before they get snatched up by other teams. Amateur hour

We are so LOST. Linked to 10 players for every position but can’t close and seem to just take whoever is left lol.

TY Gerry and Georgie boy!!!! 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

  8. We’re offering 37-38 million which is a record bid.

I’d hope they would move faster and get this closed up before the pre-season.

  9. So this record bid thing was a result of the LAST record bid that we made for CDK 3 years ago?
    Oh Great… Juuuust Great…..

  10. nismo smjeli pustiti Jovića i Abrahama ! Slićna dva igrača poput njih koštat će 70 – 80 mil eura
