AC Milan have been given a huge boost in their pursuit of Ardon Jashari this evening; the Swiss midfielder has stated that he no longer wants to play for the club.
It is impossible to tell where Jashari will end this summer, but as time passes, it seems increasingly likely that it will be away from Club Brugge. In fact, today’s admission makes it almost guaranteed that he will move away.

Jashari’s stance clear
At this point, no one is benefiting from the saga continuing. Milan need to move on, or land their new midfielder. Brugge need to get rid of him, and he also needs to find a new club. So, with Nieuwsblad (via MilanNews) reporting that he has ‘made it clear’ that he wants to leave, it is telling.
It is further than just wanting to leave, too. He does not want to play for the Belgian outfit anymore and has also made that clear. At this point, they ‘do not want to give up’, but this latest move in the chess game may make it impossible to continue playing.
A new bid was sent this weekend, and whilst it has not been rejected, it is not looking good. Perhaps this latest update will change that.

They secured the players interest, and they need to do EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to secure him even if it means giving club brugge what they wanted. The asking price was a record fee, Milan agreed, then the asking price went up. Which means that, if Milan goes up to 40m, it is likely the price will be up again
@ Putuco …that is incorrect, Brugge have always asked for 40m from day one, they never agreed to a price and changed it.
The Belgian’s have contributed to this drama with there stance no doubt about it but it is fair to say that this has been Tare’s biggest mess since joining Milan.

While I can enjoy this from the stands and the soap opera that this has become, is this the kind of player that we want in our dressing room that could one day flip the script on us when MCFC or Real Madrid come calling for his services? Club Brugge is playing hard ball and can respect them stating they want €40M from the get go and not budging, however, this type of temper-tantrum is something that seemingly will backfire on us in two years when the ‘next’ club comes calling.

Our exits seem to be actually quite easy when we’re selling. Look at Sandro and Tiji as our latest big exits.
Also, the respect and prestige between us and Brugge is fairly large, and don’t think he would throw his toys out the cot when dealing with us compared to the Belgian outfit.
This is a consequence of Milan’s past dealings catching up with them, and unfortunately he’s in the crossfire.

I don’t know what to say but if this is true then this player is putting everything on the line for the sake of his dream move and that too being at very early stage of his football career. Well all concerned parties should sit and help this kid find a common ground if the move happens then this exactly the sort of player we should have in dressing room… who is fighting for his dream move and playing for a club he admired since childhood….can’t say milan should budge or brugge should move on. I assume that was actually a reply to me well I was referring to two specific players and you probably know who. Fact is a bunch of those teams you mentioned has way better economies and better squads so they can far better afford it whereas we are constantly revamping our squad. Don’t compare Milan with Atalanta that is currently living their best of times and historically is an elevator team between Serie A and B. Strictly speaking, I think our owner preferred a healthy balance sheet than trophy, and as I saw it we were more like Dortmund than Bayern. However, we don’t play youngster like Dortmund, at least not as consistent as they do.
Yeah I’m sure you are correct that he is considering the balance sheet foremost but even though that should be well considered Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the sport so that is also setting the bar pretty low. Hopefully we will have a great season though so we can get back on track winning.

I doubt he will pull the same stunt on Milan if he is really a fan. I am sure in future if a reasonable offer comes in Milan will definitely consider it, especially if the player wants the move. Tonali did all he could to make the move, this boy is not behaving any “different” considering that the EPL teams probably came with better offers. It will be unfortunate if this deal falls flat, for the boy’s sake.

You’re right, mate. Club Brugge is just being greedy. Milan have moved up their offers continuously. The latest is six times what they paid for him. No big club has shown any interest, yet, they don’t mind selling him to West Ham, for more money, despite the player’s desire to join a club he loves. That’s pure ‘selfishness’. I just hope Milan can add a little extra € to get him, and then close the door, as far as future deals with Club Brugge is concerned. All this drama will come back to haunt them.

By not paying the extra 2 million euros we destroy the preperations of Jashari, and thus if we get him, he will struggle to perform optimally (like Fofana). For me, this is a no-brainer. Pay them what they want, its not that much more than what we have put on the table in the last offer.
Fofana is not performing optimally because he’s actually very limited technically and tactically. He’s especially not suited for serie A football and the damn idiots who brought him are to be blamed.
It’s not because of the “missed preseason” that you flop THE WHOLE SEASON. That excuse can hold water for a few weeks or at best months but it’s getting tiering to her this pure excuse repeating itself over and over again…
What I say here few times ? This situation never ever goes well for a club who refuse to sell a player who really wants to leave. Brugge take him last year for 6 millions. Now a year later they can sell him for a 30 millions + pure profit. That’s a very very good business for a club like Brugge. Milan offer is more than reasonable. But the problem is on Brugge because they are outrageously greedy. Not because they have moral standards or solid principles, no…they want more money from a Premier League club , but Jashari don’t want to go there. Everything Brugge can do it’s just to be a little flexible, prove a little humain understanding, take the 30+ millions profit from Milan, please the player , and thank God for such a good deal for them. Otherwise they will have a very demoralized player and in the future other players will be very reclutent to sign with Brugge and agents will hesitate to bring their players to Brugge. Everybody wants the business goes smooth , pozitive for all parts , a little compromise from all parts, thats mean a financial tranzaction in benefits of all parts, diplomacy.
I completely get why Jashari does not want to play anymore. According to what I have read, he renewed with the condition “if a big club want me, you will release me for a fair price”. Not only that, it is widely understood that the price was 32.5m to become the biggest transfer in Belgium league history, this was told from Jashari’s agent to Milan, Milan raised the offer for a player whose value in current mercato is not even 30m. And then when Brugge was asked from EPL about him, they got greedy, move the goalposts and asked for more money. It is not about “a million or 2” it is the way to conduct business here. If you tell me Milan offered 10m for him at the beginning, I would understand, but even the first offer was pretty decent for a young player who is unknown in Europe, but with great potential. And that is why Jashari feel betrayed and I think that is the bigger reason for him to be absolutely pi$$ed off

Eh, you specify an amount. “A fair price” means different things to different people, Brugge can say they’re asking for a fair price. Arguably it says “this is how good we think you are”.
