After one senior season with AC Milan, Bournemouth took the punt to sign Alex Jimenez in the summer on loan with an option to buy. Now, they will activate it.
It seemed almost guaranteed that Jimenez’s exit would be a permanent one when he left in the summer. Now, those suspicions have been confirmed, with Bournemouth seemingly starting to get the ball rolling.

At the end of January, Matteo Moretto reported that the deal was becoming a formality, and now it seems that the defender will make his move to England permanently at some point in this month, if not sooner.
Fabrizio Romano, via his X account (as MilanNews relays), states that the deal could even be wrapped up this week.
“Alex Jimenez will become a downright Bournemouth player this week. Fixed cost of 19.5 million euros, 5.3 million euros of bonus and contract until June 2031. The cost will be shared between Milan and Real Madrid (which holds 50% of the resale rights).”
As things stand, Milan are set to make a significant capital gain on his permanent exit, even with Real Madrid getting 50% of the fee. As a result, the Rossoneri should pocket around €10 million.

I believe Madrid get 50% of the profit rather than the fee, so the first 5M is Milan’s and the rest split, so roundabout 12.5M.
He’s no doubt worth more than that but at least it covers the cost of Athekame, his direct replacement.
