Something rather rare is happening at La Madonnina clinic this morning as three players are undergoing medicals ahead of joining AC Milan.
Milan closed three deals on deadline day: namely Joao Felix from Chelsea, Warren Bondo from Monza and Riccardo Sottil from Fiorentina. All three players arrived a few moments ago for their medical, having actually signed their contracts last night.
In the afternoon, the three new signings are expected at Milanello to carry out their first training session under the orders of Sergio Conceiçao.

So does this mean we gambled on their fitness? Ive always thought you can’t claim the transfer until this is done and documents signed. But I guess the key thing is to sign before the deadline. Must admit I don’t remember Milan doing much on final days that I cared about.
I am also curious. I guess it is a mix of 1) good faith between trusting parties; 2) contractual obligations (e.g. contract is deemed invalid in case of failed medical) and very low risk for active players that are also coming with a loan formula. Bondo is the exception (purchased), as he was also out of squad for the last 2 matches, but probably his purchase was planned in advance and below the radar.
Seems so. And Galliani is as good a friend as Milan can hope for in football. When I saw him at the match I knew they would be having talks over dinner after
100%. I hope they manage to stay in Serie A. It’s like we have a Milan-B (Monza) and Milan-C(Futuro) team.
I thought the same. Maybe there is a provision that states the transfer can be cancelled if the player isn’t fit.
