AC Milan secured three very important points against Hellas Verona last night and after the game, Joao Felix spoke to the media about the upcoming Feyenoord. Albeit convinced that the Rossoneri will score, he highlighted the main concern.

Joao Felix has started his tenure at Milan well, playing three out of a possible four games from start, and yesterday showed how important he is in attack. While he didn’t get a goal or an assist, he was often the one who dropped down, drove forward and made things happen.

Speaking to DAZN after the game last night, the Chelsea loanee was asked about the upcoming clash against Fweyenoordn. The Rossoneri have a 1-0 deficit to overturn and while Joao Felix is convinced that they will score, there is another concern.

“It’s our most important game of the season. We simply have to win. We really have a lot of quality, we will score, I’m convinced of it, but we will have to be good at not conceding. We have to win the duels, like we did today.”

The game is scheduled for Tuesday evening and Milan have been assigned the early kick-off slot, i.e. 18:45 Italy time. It might affect the attendance at San Siro slightly, but there is no doubt that the fans will be backing the team.

  1. It is a complete outrage if you lose against this Feyenoord team. The only thing you need from the beginning is the intention to win and to win duels. Something that has been missing the last games.

    1. I assume you are from Rotterdam yourself so just a quick question here which team do you want to qualify for the next round the most considering that at least on paper and in history Milan is the bigger team so do you cheer on your local underdog team ?

      1. Good question haha. I was in the stadium last wednesday, and I thought I was for Feyenoord, but in the end it still didn’t feel good with the Milan loss. But probably will I feel the same when Milan wins this tuesday. So in the end I’m just glad one of my teams will go through.
I just hope the team that plays the best will go through. Milan was so bad this wednesday so if they again play like that this coming tuesday I hope feyenoord goes to the next round. But to be honest, normally Feyenoord has no business in the next round and Milan has more chances against an Arsenal or Inter then Feyenoord has. But for Feyenoord it is really special if they make it through.

Well, as you can see in the reaction, I’m still not completely sure myself…

        1. Well that is fair enough and I can imagine its a bit of a pickle to be put in. Yeah it certainly wasn’t a pretty AC Milan performance and if they do pull out such a performance again then Feyenoord certainly would be well deserving in progressing to the next round. Hell if they cant play better and more aggressively than that then I might actually cheer on the Dutch team myself, just kidding but they certainly wouldn’t deserve to progress then. I was pretty much yelling and cursing at both teams for full 90 minutes as I was furious throughout the match 😀

I don’t know how old you are but I quite liked the Feyenoord teams with Henrik Larsson in the early to mid 90ies, they were a great watch.

  2. Hey guys, the boys know they have to win, they are payed for this. And if not they get the …same.
Years ago, teams have played also for their honour and the club colours.
I watched a lot of time that Milan, but today…
Sometimes no Italian players fielded !!
This team has no Milan soul…
Play well, earn some money for our management, don’t care about football and the supporters 😭
Anyway, good luck 🤞 for Tuesday evening!!
