CM: Comments from Jorginho’s agent have Milan on alert – the Rossoneri’s stance

By Oliver Fisher -

A bit of a frenzy developed yesterday after the agent of Jorginho admitted that he has held talks with AC Milan and specifically Ricky Massara.

As Calciomercato.com report, he seemed to give a decisive opening to the big clubs in Serie A: “For him, playing in Serie A is a dream. His heart is here. Today he can play in 4/5 teams: Milan, Inter, Juve, Roma or Napoli.”

The Rossoneri will sign a big name midfielder this summer but their strategy will hinge on whether Renato Sanches signs from Lille or not, and there is optimism about closing that deal.

Jorginho earns around €6m net per season in London and is linked to Chelsea through a contract running until 2023, and with the current situation surrounding the Blues it is not unreasonable to think he might push for a move after the World Cup.

Unless an agreement is found for the extension – which is currently impossible due to the penalties put on Chelsea – they could sell.

“There are many clubs that are interested in him. In the past I have spoken with PSG, Barcelona and also with Massara of Milan. I don’t know if they want him now,” his agent added. Milan are in no hurry to open it and proceed with the negotiations.
