Journalist believes Milan should sign Sassuolo starlet as deputy for Ibrahimovic

Milan are looking for a striker on the market as it became clear this past season that Zlatan Ibrahimovic can’t play every game. Furthermore, next season could be the Swede’s last and a name for the future would thus be needed.

Several names have been linked with the Rossoneri in the last few weeks, such as Olivier Giroud and Gianluca Scamacca, but Mario Sconcerti believes they should opt for another player. Speaking to Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), he revealed his pick.

“Giroud cannot be the alternative to Ibrahimovic. Scamacca can be for his physique and quality or, better yet, a different player like Raspadori,” he stated.

Raspadori, who’s just 21-years-old, scored six goals and assisted an additional three for Sassuolo this past season. He scored twice in the game against Milan, which secured the win for the Neroverdi at San Siro.

There haven’t been many reports linking the youngster to the Rossoneri, though, and given what he showed this past season, the price tag would most likely be high. Sassuolo are rarely easy to deal with, too.
