Journalist claims Milan and Leeds United are interested in Ligue 2 starlet

It’s no secret that Milan are looking to bring in one more midfielder before the transfer window closes. Tiemoue Bakayoko is their first choice, by the looks of it, but other alternatives are also being evaluated.

According to RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, Milan and Leeds United are interested in Toulouse starlet Manu Kone. The 19-year-old plays as a central midfielder and has played the first three games of this season from start.

The English side are seemingly in the pole position, though, as talks are underway with the player’s entourage. Now it’s up to the newly-promoted Premier League side to make the necessary steps in the negotiations.

In addition to Milan and Leeds, several English sides are also keeping tabs on the youngster. The Rossoneri are currently preparing for the league opener, taking on Bologna in what could be a tough game at the San Siro on Monday evening.
