Agustin Canobbio

Journalist claims Milan have signed 26-year-old Uruguayan winger – the latest

The January window will soon officially open and AC Milan have made moves already, according to a report. Indeed, the Uruguayan winger Agustín Canobbio will join the club from the Brazilian team Athletico-PR.

The news arrives from the journalist Wilson Méndez, who has 112k followers on X, stating that Canobbio’s former team Peñarol will receive €450k from the transfer. Most likely, this is the result of a future resale clause that was added when the winger left Brazil in 2022.

The fee back then was €2.85m for Canobbio, according to Transfermarkt, and it remains to be seen how much Milan will pay for the transfer. Furthermore, as there have been no reports about this in Italy, it’s hard to tell if this is a signing for the Futuro (as an overage player) or the first team.

In the season that just ended, Canobbio managed to get nine goals and seven assists in 48 games. He has mainly played as a left-winger but he can also play on the opposite side, as well as an attacking midfielder. He appears to be a rather versatile player, in other words.

More news should arrive on the matter soon, at least if the initial reports are correct.

    1. 4 million transfer fee + 450K add onn. Welcome cheap player. But he is not young anymore 26 years.

      Management check box:
      ✅ Cheap
      ✅ Foreign
      ❌ Young

  1. And bring pioli back or farioli from ajax as a coach we need a coach that can bring out the best from our star players like leao

    1. This guy might be good despite the fact that nobody seems to know him but that’s a mystery because he’s a Brazilian and there’s always some kind of hype that surrounds players from Brazil and Argentina.

  2. Why would a player who is playing for Atletico Paranaense and has 13 games for Uruguay be a signing for the Futuro?
Obviously, if it’s even true, he will play for the 1st team.
    Ans he is Italian

      1. Even as a fellow Nigerian, I know that Berardi is one million times better than Chukwueze.
Chuck has been really poor and yes, Berardi would be an upgrade on him.

      1. And what exactly did they get for those 200 millions? What are our current standings on Serie A and CL charts? Invested or wasted are two different things. So stfu and go choke on Gerry’s little pecker.

        1. The fact that half of the money was wasted is irrelevant to your false, lazy narrative that the owners are cheap. Incompetent, yes, cheap, no. As for your lame insults, they don’t help to emphasis your point, rather they expose your obvious lack of intellect, you amateur.

          1. Stop sucking on Gerry’s lolipop and read my first comment again you dum-dum. What does the fact this player is another cheap shot has to do with 200 millions? Where did I mention it? Talking about being lazy, gtfo.

  3. Another bit-part player, like Chukwueze, Musah and Okafor.

Why didn’t we just keep Saelemaekers, Kalulu and Krunic, as well as others?
