A journalist has claimed that Paolo Maldini will only consider a return to AC Milan as his next job in football.
Maldini worked as the technical director at Milan from 2019 onwards having returned to the club just before to work under Leonardo, and he is credited with a major role in the rise back towards being crowned champions of Italy in 2021-22.

A recent report documented why the relationship between Maldini and the owner Gerry Cardinale never really took off, and the former captain of the Rossoneri remains out of work despite the recent Fenerbahce links.
A return to Milan seems far away at the moment, though there is always hope. On his social media account, the journalist Maurizio Pistocchi claimed to have spoken to Maldini regarding his future, at the time of the rumours about a move to Turkey.
“A few days ago I met Paolo Maldini and, since his photos with the candidate for the presidency of Fenerbahce had been made public, I asked him if he’d already bought a house on the Bosphorus,” he began.
“His response was clear-cut: ‘Let’s not joke around. Either I return to Milan (on my terms) or nothing’. Will he change his mind?”

AC Milan from the current ownership.
Silvio Berlusconi’s AC Milan was one of the greatest epics world football has ever seen, yet today it no longer exists, a distant memory. Yet there is someone who would like to bring it back.
This is journalist Gianni Solaroli, a friend of Silvio Berlusconi, who via video message appealed to Berlusconi’s children, Marina and Piersivlio, urging them to save AC Milan from its current American ownership.

This is Gianni Solaroli’s full appeal to Marina and Piersilvio Berlusconi: “Monday evening, through the Biscardi Trial, I launched an appeal to the Berlusconi family, Marina and Piersilvio: save
AC Milan! Like your father did in 1986, when he bought AC Milan on February 20th and saved it from certain bankruptcy. For AC Milan fans,
Silvio Berlusconi was something extraordinary, unforgettable. This club is truly falling apart: there is no management, it is unclear what their intentions are other than to make money.
So I renew this appeal to Marina and Piersilvio:
do as your father did and save AC Milan! Silvio once told me that his dream was to buy AC Milan to give it to his father, who took him to the stadium every Sunday as a child. You too can do this. Today your group is healthy and full of initiatives, great companies that you know how to manage. Even managing AC Milan could be feasible. Remember what happened in Piazza Duomo on the day of the funeral. of your father: an entire curve cheering Silvio Berlusconi. Put your hand on your heart and try to save AC Milan, all of us AC Milan fans would be very grateful.”
The man who loved the club so much but sold it, do they think it was happy decision for him?
Before calling on the children to save the club, the first question the journalist should ask them is why did thier father sell the club?
Are they ready to suffer what their father suffered in sustaining the club?
If these questions are not answered, the same fate that befell their father will definitely catch up with them.
John, that time Finnvest was doing poorly from ehat I heard and Berlu was not able to use the company’s money in the club. They were far far away from being self sustainable and Uefa rules stated that clubs must be self sustainable no matter how rich the owners are. The owner is not the club and thr club is not the owner. So clubs’s income and owner’s income/money cannot be considered the same. That’s why Berlu had to sell.
But regarding this message, I have serious doubts if Finnvest has suddenly become rich again (initially when a club is bought, UEFA allows 2 or 3 years of transitional spending I think where personal/owner’s money can be used for the club and then in the next 2-3 years the club must become self sustainable). I don’t know if Berlu’s kids are able enough to run the club. Italian ownership, surely…Milan emotions, surely yes….spending…surely yes for thr next 2 years but then self sustainable? Probably not.

Unfortunately I don’t see him returning for the club unless we get a new ownership and even if he was asked by the current one to return I wouldn’t blame him if he refused. The man is a class act and a legend of the club and sport and if I was in his shoes I wouldn’t want to work in this clown shown either just to build it up to get sacked at the whim of Cardinale.

I thought he was offered a role with the National team Italy ofc).. not sure if he made a decision on that as yet.
Yesterday there was a piece on Football Italia that said he leaned towards rejecting that job. Whether that is correct or not I obviously can’t answer.
Ahh I see. Last I heard which was probably before the football Italia piece was the ppl commentating at the world cup and they said Maldini seemed to be in line to join Italy team as a director. And ofc they all expressed their adulation for him. Would be good for the sport in general to have a figure like that still involved
Sorry for the late reply but got out and got hammered but yes I think he would be an asset for Italy or any other organisation he might help out so I definitely wouldnt mind him helping out Italy or for that matter AC Milan 🙂

Once the owner changes he’ll be back. Unless Cardinale is still around and the owner in 30 years from now. 🙄
