AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has asked the club to sign Torino striker Andrea Belotti this summer, according to one journalist.
Milan have been linked with a move for Belotti over the last few summer windows but have either chosen to go with other targets or have been priced out of a deal, but the Italy international is at a crossroads in his career because his contract expires in 2022 and he does not look set to renew.
This has reignited the speculation that a move to his boyhood club could be on the cards, and Ekrem Konur writes how – at the request of Stefano Pioli – Milan are closely monitoring the situation surrounding the 27-year-old.
Not only that, but Konur adds that it seems likely that Massara ‘will take official steps’ for Belotti after the European Championships, which Italy reached the final of thanks to a penalty shootout win in the semi-final against Spain last night.
