Journalist provides update on Milan’s pursuit of Chelsea striker – ‘No contact to date’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not yet any contact with the agent of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud over a January move, a report claims.

Ibrahimovic will be out for the next two or three weeks with a hamstring strain, which has led to suggestions the club could move when the market reopens to try and secure a striker who would allow the Swede to manage his workload more moving forward.

Tuttosport (via MilanLive) reported earlier today that the Rossoneri are not interested in signing free agents and if a new striker arrives, they want a player who is ready and capable of helping the team immediately, with Giroud among three options being considered.

According to journalist Marco Ramiccia on Twitter, there has been no contact to date between the Milan management and Giroud’s agent, Michael Manuello.
