Journalist suggests Milan could benefit from new Fly Emirates agreement

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are ready to announce a new agreement with Fly Emirates, who have been the club’s primary sponsor since the 2010/11 season. Unlike Adidas, therefore, this long-lasting partnership won’t end just yet.

According to the reliable Pietro Balzano Prota, who spoke live on his Twitch channel last night (cited by @SightsMilan on Twitter), the renewal has been agreed by the parties and only the official announcement is now missing.

The fixed part of the agreement will be smaller money-wise, but there are some new clauses in the deal to make up for that. For example, Milan will have more room to add other sponsorships, which is an improvement from the previous agreement.

Furthermore, the performance-based bonuses in the Fly Emirates agreement are bigger than before. In other words, although the fixed part is smaller, the Rossoneri will most likely end up earning more if things go as planned on the pitch.
