Sky: Jovic to miss Napoli game through injury – when he should return

With AC Milan training ahead of the Napoli fixture, reports have emerged about absences, and there is an update about a striker.

Ahead of the Champions League clash against Club Brugge, Milan were left in a difficult position, with only one first-team striker able to take part in the fixture – Alvaro Morata. This week, a similar story is playing out.

As Sky (via Milan News) reports, the Rossoneri will be without Luka Jovic for the clash, with the Serbian only recovering enough to do individual work at Milanello today. So, Francesco Camarda should be given another chance in the squad, to make up numbers if nothing else.

The Italian impressed from the bench against Brugge, and Fonseca spoke about his performance during his press conference earlier this afternoon further cementing his admiration for the young talent, so another appearance could be on the cards if the moment is right.

For Jovic, a return this weekend may be possible, with him back training by himself, and the same hopes are held for Tammy Abraham – who was also absent for the Champions League clash. However, if Camarda impresses, there may not be a rush for them to return to the squad to allow maximum recovery.
