It seems Ardon Jashari will return to the bench for AC Milan next weekend with Massimiliano Allegri likely to make a swap.
There has been a lot said about Jashari and his performance against Sassuolo. Unfortunately for him, not much of it has been positive, if any of it at all. Indeed, the young midfielder struggled and it seems Massimiliano Allegri will already make a change.
He is a player who needs consistency and whilst removing him from the team goes against that, Allegri needs proven players in the final weeks of the season. There is no space to take risks.
Replacements for Jashari
As Calciomercato.com writes, there are two options to replace Jashari this weekend. The first would be to see Samuele Ricci coming into the team to sit at the base, a role which he would be happy to fill, according to previous reports.
The Italian has been consistent when coming into games as a substitute or even a starter, so he offers Allegri some reliability there.
Alternatively, Youssouf Fofana could return to the base of the midfield, like he did last season. This move would see Ruben Loftus-Cheek come into central midfield to offer a more physical threat to Atalanta.
At present, there are no suggestions to which idea Allegri is leaning towards. But it is evident that he is leaning away from Jashari…

Ricci, Fofana, Jashari, RLC – all pose more questions than answers.
The kid plays for the 1st time in who knows how long, has a bad game and right away he is put back on the bench. Meanwhile, Allegri every week plays and starts Leao and Pulisic regardless of how bad they are.
Milan have been in a slump over the last 2 months. Who got benched from the basically same players Allegri used? Bartesaghi, only because of injury.
“Kid” is 23 years old. 24 in 2 months. He is a “kid” as much as Leao is an upcoming talent.
Allegri starts Leão and Pulisic simply because the others on the bench are even worse.
Nkunku, has anyone seen him in the last match?
Füllkrug, his only job on the pitch is to win the long balls, but when was the last time he actually did that?
Santiago Giménez, whenever he gets minutes, it barely feels like he’s even on the pitch. Maybe Serie B would suit him better.
100% correct.
Jashari has played plenty. And when he does, it is absolutely clear as day that he lacks quality. I wish he was a better player, but he isn’t. He’s been fit for a long time and still not getting a look from Allegri, why? Well, you saw why on the weekend….And Ricci is 10x worse.
I dont understand the noise around a player who had one decent opportunity all season long and get vilified vs our regulars who have had multiple opportunities and failed to deliver. I am willing to listen to arguments around Tomori, Fofana, ulour misfiring attackers, et al who have disappointed time and time again, having had decent chances, have the experiences and still come up short. Can we open that discussion perhaps. We have examples as long as trainsmoke of players that had 2 or 3 seasons to adapt before we called time on them. Can Jash be afforded the same perhaps…
Which ones? De Kaetelare was bought for similar money and was moved on after a year. Which others can you remember? Not 5M€ signings you wait to develop. Talking about big money players. ? The noise is about a 40M signings that looks like a player you can get for 15M€.
Tonali cost 20M€, how the F is Jashari 40M? It’s a joke of a transfer, and until he starts showing he was worth it I don’t care what anyone else thinks. He comes into a game against Sasuollo and plays like a player that came from Belgian league and needs 2 year to adapt. Yes, that is why he wasn’t worth the fee..
In terms of minutes afforded there’s no comparison between De Ketelare and Jash. Jash hardly had a look in and he gets taken to the cleaners. If you want to talk price maybe you should look at Nkunku and Gimenez who did not arrived cheaply either. My point is that those that get regular playtime do not perform, and maybe the argument should be that they had ample opportunities to do so. We cannot say the same for Jash who has never been tested to the point where we feel he is a flop. Ricci is not exactly dressing himself in glory either. Bondo is on loan we expect him back. Terraciano was a mistake from the word go, we never should have bought him. And then we have a some beautiful examples where players were given time to settle and they repaid us (Kessie, Leao, Tonali et al). Let’s not be too hasty, the whole team is a mess with a few shinning examples (Modric, Rabiot). Give Jash time…
Why aren’t you talking about players like Bondo, or Terracciano? Or any other player that didn’t get the chance even though they were low cost signings? No, Jashari is being neglected, poor Jashari. Free Jashari!
Forza, you don’t watch to many games do you? Jashari has been a flop. Completely. Do you know that Tomori was just recalled to the England team and has been playing well in most games? He got sent off…is that the only red card issued to a defender in your lifetime? Ridiculous! Btw with out Fofana’s assists and goal involvements, Milan would not be in the top 4. But no one in here likes facts do they?
jashari had to blame for the loss of milan where was the defenders to cover berardi? he is a kid if he goes to another team see what a player he is fofana all the games played bad with loftus and fofana god help us for 4th place in champions
RLC was also recently recalled to the England team…Terrible players don’t get into an England team with tons of quality options…you must play well to get the call… you folks in here really do live in your own bizzaro world.
Fofana, the same player that runs with the ball out of his own box into the midfield straight into another player and gives the ball away, now does the same thing, but in front of the defense as the regista. Sounds like a genius move to play him there, doesn’t it?
Well Jashari did exactly that in the last game? Fofana at least has the minutes this season so he should be more ready.
The point is that Jashari isn’t ready. Fofana isn’t consistent enough. And Ricci isn’t good enough at one thing to play there. We have no answers outside of Modric.
Just 442 it. Pavlo(LB) Gabbia KDW Athekame.
Bulk the midfield. Rabiot, Ricci Fofana RLC. Then throw Puli and Santi up front. Because apparently we can’t even play a 352 without Luka. LOL!!!
You mean the player that has been a solid part of Allegri’s midfield that went 24+ matches unbeaten? Yup, Let’s get him outta there and put the useless Ricci or Jashari in there…or better yet Allegri should play the 442 you love so much…oh yeah, that was a disaster too. This forum is full of ‘experts’ who always seem to be wrong.
Ben, Ben, Ben, Allegri has Ricci at the rock bottom of his midfield pecking order. And from what we’ve seen that is where he belongs. Jashari is CDK all over again. RLC – Fofana – Rabiot is the best bet until Modric comes back.
