MN: Juventus ask about Thiaw – how the negotiation could develop with Vlahovic

After his move to Como did not go through, Malick Thiaw again seems to be at the centre of potential exit rumours.

As MilanNews recall, Thiaw rejected Como’s offer of €4m net per year after Milan had agreed a €25m with Como. Yesterday, news broke that Newcastle are once again interested in the German, but now there is interest from Italy.

A deal with Juventus?

Juventus have asked for and received in-depth information on Thiaw’s situation, and this could open up some kind of synergy, given that Milan are in turn interested in Dusan Vlahovic ‘s situation.

The Bianconeri are well aware that Milan could make an approach for the Serbian striker in the coming weeks. To date, he remains a significant financial problem for Juve, who have yet to finalise the return of Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, as often happens, it’s highly likely that – in the event of negotiations between Milan and Juventus – the Vlahovic and Thiaw deals will be kept separate for budgetary reasons.

The Rossoneri expect to make a significant capital gain from the German’s sale and then have the liquidity to try to close a new defensive profile (the top name is Parma’s Giovanni Leoni).

Juventus need to avoid a capital loss on Vlahovic’s sale (whose residual value for the final year stands at €18m) and try get rid of his €12m salary. It’s difficult to imagine a crossover deal with similar valuations, but Juventus are certainly interested in Thiaw.

  1. Please don’t give up a starting player with a very low salary for their highest earner that’s dragging them down. I understand the attraction of selling Thiaw but I’d rather extend him or sell him abroad if we have to, not to a direct rival.

  2. Why get rid of thiaw? He may not be brilliant and makes mistakes at times (who doesn’t?) but he is a german international and might make it again ….. let us give him another chance ….

  3. We have the leverage in this situation over Juve…. don’t give up players that we will find hard to replace since we don’t have cash and help Juve get rid of a player that they don’t want and that is costing them a fortune. Hopefully this is just a rumour.

Vlahovic is where u low-ball them not where players have couple of years remaining on their contract

    1. exactly… Vlahovic is getting ridiculous money, we can wait until the end of the summer to grab him for 10-15M…

it’s adorable that Zebra Merda think they have any say here except for “THANK YOU, MILAN!”

  4. Not Juve again. After Kalulu fiasco, we should learn a thing or two. Didn’t they have interest in Tomori? Lol.
