Dusan Vlahovic is not the only free transfer opportunity that AC Milan are looking at from Juventus, according to a report.
Following Kenan Yildiz’s contract extension until 2030, this morning’s edition of Il Giornale (via MilanNews) reports that Juventus are working to secure other players whose deals expire soon, such as Weston McKennie.
Juve’s counter-move
The Juventus directors are working to secure the USA international and fend off the onslaught of clubs targeting the American on a free transfer. They name Marseille, Milan, Inter and Roma as being interested above all.
Allegri appears to be keen on what would be a reunion with McKennie, who is looking ahead to a home World Cup next summer, given that he remains a key player for the United States national team.

It seems that the 27-year-old is back to his best form since Luciano Spalletti arrived. He has racked up an impressive 10 goal contributions (six goals, four assists) across 32 appearances in all competitions this season.
Not only that, but he has played a number of different roles, from central midfielder to out on the right and most recently as more of a second striker. Allegri, as we know, loves players who can occupy multiple positions.

Just how many exes does Allegri have?
I don’t like him, seems not fit to starting 11 right now. We need killer striker for number 9
In our 352 set up his best position would be in Fofana’s spot and we already have Ricci and RLC fighting for those minutes l. If we have departures I could see this but other needs should be addressed first.
Unless he’s better than those three. Plus he’s comes for free. He can also play off the #9 and as a right wing back. I don’t think he’ll come to ACM anyway. If Juve makes top four I think he’ll resign there. The issue he has with Juve is they broke their word when they had a contract agreement.
That’s the problem we don’t have a proven number 9 for either Leão or Pulisic to play off of. I’ve seen Weston play in the US many times and even once at the Westfalenstadion and I know he’s a good player but we need said 9 before we aim at other targets.
McKennie is exactly the type of addition I was addressing in another post. Adding him to our midfield/ wing is exactly the type of Mercato move you make to prepare for the grind of European football. As a free transfer? He’s a no-brainer! He would be an awesome addition and he wouldn’t necessitate selling any of the current players to get him. Pull the trigger.
Milan has very talented forwards, but they don’t have a coach that seems to know how to use them properly! It doesn’t matter who Milan brings to play as a forward, they are not likely to be more successful than our current players, unless the tactical approach is enhanced.
