This summer could have been AC Milan’s best chance of landing Dusan Vlahovic, if reports are to be believed about new talks.
The Vlahovic lure was present for Milan all summer. Massimiliano Allegri dreamed of him arriving, whilst the fanbase also wanted any capable physical striker to bring reliability to the frontline. However, Christopher Nkunku arrived instead.

That is no slight on the Frenchman, but he arrives at a time when a near-perfect idea was there and did not arrive. Of course, Allegri could grow to love the Frenchman. The admission that he had no clue how to use him, though, is certainly not a promising start.

Vlahovic’s price increase
This summer, Vlahovic was available for around €20 million, per reports. But his €12m wage demands were off-putting, so he was never really considered as an option for the club, who needed to be careful with finances due to their Champions League participation.
They could live to regret that, it seems.
Gazzetta dello Sport, this afternoon, have reported that there is hope of a ‘rapprochement’, with plans being outlined. To secure it, Juventus are hoping to insert a low release clause into his contract, of €35m maximum – €15m more than what was being sought this summer.
Several factors will play a part in the decision(s). However, it could be the nail in the coffin, as the Rossoneri hoped for yet another discount.

It was always going to be the case. Wait to pay less, the play proves his worth and is unavailable to us.
This management have a doctorate in shooting themselves in the foot with indecision.
Goal scorers cost a lot of money. You want one, pay up. You will be left empty handed. he opportunity to get him this summer passed us by. With his current form, if it is maintained at even half the rate, he will be in a wealthier club at twice as much as he would have accepted to be with us.
are you dumb? No one wants to pay him 12m/yr, literally no one
but obviously 15 year old kids like you think this is EAFC25 or some sh*t
He was reported to be ready to accept less.
You make too many assumptions. Milan paid 37M for Nkunku and is paying him 4.5M per year. So money was there. How much less was Vlahovic willing to accept? How much did his “entourage” want? Clearly, there is more to the story than “Milan is cheap”.
He scored 15 goals in 40 games last season and wants 12M… Oh well, not gonna happen! Juve offered a 7.5-8M and a 5-year deal, which is an insane 0.5M per goal. He passed on the opportunity… for now. I don’t see any team offering him more.
Exactly. He scored in every game as a sub so far. Whatever it was, it was less expensive than signing nobodies that never scored a goal in the league.
He is asking fee 18m euro and salary 6m euro nett / years. And 4 years contract, It is from reliable source , thats make him get 10,5m euro nett / season if you divide that fee for 4 years contract. Dont forget he was never have problem with any coach in juve, it is juve management / owner want to sell him due to highest salary in serie A
Good, let’s move on. Vlahovic is not worth more than 5m in wages. Other than tap ins he offers nothing more than gimenez does at the moment. At least gimenez loves milan and wants to prove his wot h while vlahovic actually thinks he’s worth 12m.
This was a really confusing article to read.
Can we please move on from this guy news wise as well our owners were going to give him what he wanted salary wise, it’s simple Redbird are not willing and able to invest like Elliot, our owner is actively seeking partners (like sunning did with inter all those years ago) to help him financially with the club
Never going to give him sorry
