Juventus player’s agent explains why move to Milan did not materialise

The agent of Andrea Cambiaso has explained that finances were the major reason for a move to AC Milan not happening in the summer transfer window.

Giovanni Bia spoke during an interview with TuttoJuve.com (via Calciomercato) and he explained that the Juventus asking price meant that Cambiaso was never going to join Milan.

Milan are in need of a backup left-back and that was also the case during the summer of 2023. With Fode Ballo-Toure leaving, there is no real depth behind Theo Hernandez.

Juventus’ Cambiaso was a realistic target given he had just been on loan and was not established in the first team, but the move never happened.

As Bia explains, there were a lot of clubs looking at a move for Cambiaso but the price tag Juventus set stopped a move from happening.

“There were a couple of Italian teams, one that came out was Milan and also three or four from the Premier League were very interested. We were not surprised by the fact that Juve considered him untransferable, they would only sell him for an offer of €25-30 million,” Bia said.

Milan are expected to try and secure a move for Juan Miranda in January from Real Betis.
