Juventus team news ahead of crucial Milan clash – key injury, returning duo and a COVID case

By Oliver Fisher -

Some team news has arrived regarding Wednesday night’s opponents as AC Milan prepare for a crucial game against Juventus.

The Rossoneri host their rivals at San Siro looking to extend the gap between the sides to 13 points, albeit with the Bianconeri having a game in hand, and the latest team news from the Juve camp has come from Sky Italia (via MilanLive).

The big story is that Alvaro Morata is injured and will not take part in the game, but Andrea Pirlo will have Juan Cuadrado and Adrien Rabiot back to face his former side as both missed yesterday’s match against Udinese due to disqualification.

Juve are expected to stick with the 4-4-2 to try and close the gap on Milan, with Cuadrado returning to acting as a starting right-back, while Rabiot will play for the place with McKennie in the middle of the field. Chiesa is sure to be present on the wing, too.

Meanwhile, Juventus have confirmed that Alex Sandro has COVID-19 and will therefore skip the game.
