Kalinic: “Thank you Fiorentina, but I want to go to Milan”

By Oliver Fisher -

Nikola Kalinic has officially revealed that he wishes to leave Fiorentina this summer and join AC Milan.

The Croatia international spoke to Sky Sports in response to comments from Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino, in which he revealed Kalinic would not be sold.

“Thank you Fiorentina, but I want to go to Milan,” Kalinic said.

Corvina admitted he was contacted by Milan to open negotiations for the striker. The Viola executive in fact stated his number nine is unsellable.

“To be honest: I was called by Milan for a proposal but did not want to listen,” said Corvino, to TMW Radio microphones.

“I told them to think of other strikers, [I] do not want to deprive us.”

This comes after reports yesterday that former AC Milan academy product Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is still wanted alongside Andre Silva. However, a deal for the Gabon international remains tough due to the cost.
