Kalulu admits Bologna fixture is ‘always difficult’ for Milan due to ‘fast style’

By Isak Möller -

Pierre Kalulu has recovered from his injury and will play from the first minute for Milan against Bologna this afternoon. Stefano Pioli has made 10 changes and thus gave the Frenchman the nod.

Kaulul got injured while on international duty with France’s U21 side and he has since been working hard to recover. He returned to training just before the Napoli clash earlier in the week and is now ready to make his comeback.

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, the youngster shared his thoughts on today’s game. He admitted that it will be a tough game for Milan (especially with the rotation), as it always is away at Bologna.

On the game…

“It’s always difficult to play here, they have a fast style. But I like playing these games.”

On the clean sheets…

“If you don’t concede goals, you’re more likely to win. But the attacking aspect also makes the difference today.”

On starting…

“It’s always a pleasure for me that the coach sees my work and my growth in a positive way. I have to continue like this, I feel good.”

On the XI…

“Our job is to put Pioli in difficulty by making the choices as hard as possible for him.”

It remains to be seen how the game will pan out but it’s certain that Stefano Pioli has opted for a gamble with all these changes. Milan have struggled in the league this year and most fans were hoping for a stronger XI.
