Pierre Kalulu will unfortunately have to sit out the Milan derby with a thigh injury, but he is expected to miss more games after that too.
MilanNews report that Kalulu underwent an MRI today which revealed a small lesion to the rectus femoris muscle of his left thigh, thus ruling him out of tomorrow’s derby match against Inter at San Siro.
The French defender will be evaluated again in about ten days, the club revealed, which means that he will not only miss the game against the Nerazzurri but also the following fixtures.
Therefore, Stefano Pioli is expected to be without him for the Champions League opener against Newcastle United plus the two league matches which follow against Hellas Verona and Cagliari.
The hope is that he will be available again for the next league game after that against Lazio, but obviously his recovery time will depend on the evolution of his muscular problem and it is not something that can be rushed.
