Kalulu responds to idea of being ‘forgotten’: “Always sure of my qualities”

Pierre Kalulu is enjoying his time in Turin after leaving AC Milan on loan this summer, and it is fair to suggest that a feeling of regret is present for the fans.

When it was reported that Kalulu leaving Milan was a possibility, fans immediately were against the idea. After all, the Frenchman offers good rotational qualities in two positions, but Ibrahimovic ‘chose to gamble‘ and decided it would be best for the two parties to split.

Juventus, understandably, took an interest, and a deal was eventually worked out after early suggestions that Kalulu was unsure about the move. Since then, he has consistently performed well for the Old Lady, and fans are once again left questioning the move.

It is then worsened by the fact that Juventus have a €14 million buy option within the deal, and it seems that will become a formality within the next few months.

Speaking to Prime Video, Kalulu responded to the idea that some had forgotten his qualities, and his words have been relayed by Radio Rossonera.

“Football is made up of ups and downs, but you have to do a lot to make them as high as possible. That’s when you believe in it, it’s even better.”

You made Thiago Motta cheer at least three times, we [the journalist] had forgotten about you, instead, you proved to be a great player…

“Maybe you had forgotten, I am always sure of my qualities.”

      1. Well can’t get much continuity as a 4th choice CB.

This is why we shouldn’t have such big squads.

The really stupid thing about getting rid of Kalulu is he can cover 3 (possibly 4) positions RB, both CBs and maybe even LB.

He could’ve given us the option of having 6 players covering 4 positions.

Our defence of Calabria, Tomori, Gabbia, Theo with Kalulu and Thiaw as back up and Simic and Bartesaghi (maybe also Jimenez) was fine.

We needed a DM in front of them.

We still don’t really have one although Fofana is an improvement.
