Kalulu says goodbye to Milan after Juventus move: “A special place in my heart”

Pierre Kalulu has said his goodbye to the AC Milan fans with a social media post after his move to Juventus was made official last night.

On their official website, Juve announced that they have completed the signing of the Frenchman and the figures of the deal were also confirmed. The loan fee is €3.3m, payable in two financial years, then there is a €14m option to buy plus €3m in potential bonuses.

Kalulu was left out of Milan’s squad for both the Monza and Torino games amid the advanced negotiations with Juventus, though it looked as though the move might not happen as he took his time to make a final decision.

The former Lyon man departs having been an important part of the Scudetto-winning side but having also been plagued by injuries in the past couple of seasons, which really hampered his desire to nail down a starting spot again.

In a post on his Instagram account, Kalulu put out a message addressed to the supporters and it was one that certainly suggested he doesn’t anticipate returning next summer.

“Dear Fans, dear AC Milan lovers, It is with great emotion that I announce my departure. To you, fans and supporters, thank you for welcoming me so well, for making me feel like a member of the family from the first moment,” he said.

“Thanks to the club for coming to get me, for believing in me, for trusting me, I hope I have repaid you during my three seasons as a Rossonero. Thanks to all my team-mates for sharing their valuable experience and advice with me, for allowing me to improve on and off the pitch.

“I was a boy when I arrived in Milan and today I leave as a man. We never know what the future is made of but happy to have contributed to the great history of Milan. You will always have a special place in my heart.”

  1. I wish you Goodluck. But I wish your team bad luck. This season is going to be very complicated for most teams, before teams would pick up, one team who’s very focused must have stolen the league.

  2. Hopefully Kalulu will have a better season as a player. Juve is in need of CB (also with other option is worse than Kalulu, bar Gleison Bremer) so he will likely get many minuted there.

Now if we can also start to offload some more players, start with Adli. And possibly Jovic…

  3. Big mistake from our menagment. I like you Kalulu and hope you will back, and thank you for fight for club. You play with heart.
