Kalulu and Tomori deserve all the praise they can get – one month without conceding

By Isak Möller -

As the international break is in full swing, we can take a look at the month that has been for AC Milan. In four games, thanks to Pierre Kalulu and Fikayo Tomori, they managed to keep four clean sheets.

In addition to further cementing their spot at the top of the standings, the wins have resulted in a lot of confidence. Not many would have expected Milan to do so well defensively and there could be some interesting bets to make for the finale, on sites such as kaszinó online LVBET.

Just eight games remain of the season and the Rossoneri have it all in their hands, currently three points ahead of Napoli. They are six points ahead of Inter, but it’s worth noting that they have a game in hand (against Bologna).

The season finale will be far from easy but there will be a good opportunity for Milan after the break, as Inter will face Juventus and Napoli will face Atalanta. The Rossoneri, meanwhile, will take on Bologna at home.

With the defensive work of Tomori and Kalulu, though, it seems Milan can beat anyone in the standings and the duo deserve all the praise they have got thus far. In an interview with Corriere Dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), legendary manager Fabio Capello spoke highly of the two when asked about Kalulu.

“I would bet a lot on him. He has an important characteristic such as speed, plus I always see him concentrated, humble. And he has personality when on the ball as well. He can improve, of course, but I see him in the duo of centre-backs of the future with Tomori. However, the club are right to also look for a reinforcement. Kjaer’s experience, when he returns, will be important but on the physical side of things, it will be necessary to test the field.”

Even though we haven’t published our player of the month for March, we have a feeling that Kalulu will get the award considering his high rating on average. It’s easy to forget about the efforts of Tomori, simply because we expect so much of him, but his importance is undeniable in the centre of the defence (see highlights of them both here).

It remains to be seen if Pioli will start Kalulu or Romagnoli against Bologna, but the latter option would be quite surprising. He shouldn’t fix what isn’t broken and especially not at this stage of the season, with everything on the line in the Scudetto race.
