MN: Kessie’s exit to Barcelona means all remnants from 11-man €240m spree are gone

By Oliver Fisher -

Franck Kessie’s move to Barcelona looks to now be completed as he will sign a contract with the LaLiga side ahead of next season.

MilanNews reports how he will sign a five-year contract at €7m net per season, and he is the last remaining member of the 2018 summer transfer campaign that was put together by theMarco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli duo.

Antonio Donnarumma, Andrea Conti, Leonardo Bonucci, Mateo Musacchio, Ricardo Rodriguez, Franck Kessie, Lucas Biglia, Hakan Calhanoglu, Fabio Borini, Nikola Kalinic, André Silva all came during that summer with €240m spent (via OneFootball).

As the years have ticked by, 10 of them have left the club for one reason or another and now the final one is ready to pack his bags and join Barcelona. With Kessie’s departure, almost all players were signed or came through under the guise of the new ownership with the exception of long-serving members like Romagnoli and Calabria.

  1. This is the Best news I have read in a long time! All trash players gone. These two clowns need to answer for their horrible player buying.

  2. They took 11 swings on completely whiffed on 8 of them. The biggest clown of this bunch was Kalinic. I remember the only highlight from that year being when someone from the press referred to him as a useless donkey 😂. That guy was a total waste…

  3. What A waste of budget 240m euro just to finish rank 6 in serie A. This 2 clown Fassone and mirabelli are truly disaster on buying player , more worst given huge contract to Donnarumma from 250k to 6m euro/season,Romagnoli from 2m euro to 6m euro/ season. This 2 clown always talk bigger about their signing in media and always blame Maldini cs for not given what Donnarumma and lord Hakan wanted in new contract
