Franck Kessie has already signed his contract with Barcelona and he will join them ahead of the 2022-23 season, according to one journalist.
MilanNews spoke to Juan Jiménez of Diario AS about the rumours emerging from Spain suggesting that Kessie will become a new Blaugrana player. He claims that Barcelona sources ‘have confirmed that the contract has already been signed’.
He adds that talks between Barca and the Ivorian midfielder hae ‘existed for months’ as the Catalan side viewed him as an ‘opportunity’ because he is ‘a type of midfielder who does not exist in the team’.
There are not many specifics available just yet regarding the terms of the deal such as salary, bonuses, commissions and contract length, but Barcelona have moved early to secure a future asset for the midfield.
Jimenez states that they wanted to sign a physical midfielder because Sergio Busquets could leave the club in 2023 and Frenkie De Jong could also depart.
