MN: Indecisive Kessie causing damage to Milan on and off the field – issue must be resolved ASAP

AC Milan were relying on Franck Kessie to show another dominant performance against Liverpool last night, but it never came.

MilanNews writes how Kessie was one of Milan’s worst players on the field during the defeat after being one of the best in the previous group game away against Atletico Madrid. He got beaten too easily by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on Mohamed Salah’s equaliser, and he also missed a couple of chances in the final 10 minutes that could have sprung a dramatic finish.

For too long now Milan and their fans have been waiting for a definitive answer from the player on the renewal offer formulated by the club and it is likely that last night was Kessie’s last Champions League match with Milan, because if he has not shown positive signs so far about extending then his mind his unlikely to chance.

However, waiting for an unlikely ‘yes’ is less preferable to receiving a definitive ‘no’ now which would mean the management can plan the strategies for the future of the midfield. While Kessie’s performances on the field cause damage, his future off it leaves unease.

  1. Kessie is a shadow of the player he was last year. Sell him in January so we make a profit. He’s been horrible this year

  2. It is too late to for him to be sold in January.Technically he is already a free agent and can sign with anyone without an agreement between the teams.
