AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie has issued a definitive response to any notion that he could suffer from fatigue early in the new Serie A season.

The Ivorian was a virtual ever-present for Milan last season, becoming not just the anchor of the midfield in Ismael Bennacer’s absence but also the anchor of the team, asserting his role as the President of a side who secured their highest finish since the 2011-12 season.

Kessie gabe an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport about his future and he has revealed that he has no intention of leaving the Rossoneri, with his renewal to be sorted once he returns from Tokyo.

There are also some concerns that Kessie’s involvement in the Olympics and his late return to Milanello could have an impact on preseason preparations and also his energy levels, but he assured fans that this is not the case.

“Will I go back to Italy tired? And why? This is my job: run, block and restart. The more I play, the better I feel. I’m super motivated, I can’t wait to hug my teammates again. and Mr. Pioli. A busy season awaits us,” he said (via MilanNews).
