MN: Uncertainty beginning to affect Kessie’s decisions – latest on renewal as €8.5m demands remain

Franck Kessie continues to have an up and down season for AC Milan and there is a worry that his renewal saga is beginning to affect his performances, a report claims.

MilanNews recalls how the first doubts arose when Kessie saw red for two quick yellow cards while his team were leading against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Then there was the penalty he gave away in the derby as Hakan Calhanoglu went down in the box which was a controversial incident, but one that ultimately arose because he decided not to clear the ball and instead to dribble into his own box.

It must be mentioned though that Kessie continues to have games where he shows his value too such as against his former side Atalanta in Bergamo during the 3-2 win, though the fact remains that there is an air of unease about his future and this might be affecting his choices.

The report adds that at the moment there are no big glimmers of hope on the renewal front, as the request of the midfielder is €8.5m net per season including bonuses, which is deemed too high by the Rossoneri management.
