Long-range success and a first since 2012: All the key stats from Milan’s win against Empoli

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan secured yet another important win last night as they beat Empoli by one goal to nil. Just like the game against Napoli, it was a tight affair but the Rossoneri came out on top in the end.

Pierre Kalulu opened the scoring early in the first half with a wonderful left-footed effort, leaving the goalkeeper stranded. After that, Milan focused on defending and didn’t really create loads of chances, which was enough to get the win.

There are several positives to take from the game and some are evident with the help of stats and facts. For example, the Rossoneri have collected 63 points in 29 rounds for the first time since 2012. Below are the best post-match stats, from the official website.
