Key stats show Milan have significantly improved their efficiency in front of goal

AC Milan have started the season really well, with three wins in three games, and they have found the back of the net eight times. Compared to last season, the Rossoneri are now significantly more efficient.

Most of us remember the struggle Milan had in front of goal last season. Not only did they create few chances, but they also missed many of them. This season, however, it’s been a completely different story for the Rossoneri in front of goal.

Along with Inter, they have scored the most goals in the league so far (8), but there is a key difference between the two Milanese sides. The Nerazzurri have taken 60 shots, as per Serie A’s website, while the Rossoneri have taken just 35.

This puts Inter in second place in the shot ranking, while Milan can be found in tenth place. In other words, Stefano Pioli’s men have been a lot more efficient compared to their rivals and this is one of several statistical curiosities heading into the derby.

    1. Well you do get penalties from trying to create 🤷‍♂️

The only thing about this stat I’d say that’s it’s early days still and only 3 games played

    2. You cannot get penalty reward if you play defensive like juve and roma coach tactic. But the team become more efficient scoring goal
